Hamilton County Homeowner Arrested After Months-Long Drug Investigation

HAMILTON COUNTY, Fla. — A homeowner has been arrested following a months-long investigation into suspected drug activity at a residence in the northwestern part of the county, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators with the Narcotics and Street Crimes Unit began looking into the property after receiving numerous complaints about heavy traffic and possible narcotics distribution.

Authorities said surveillance and investigative work over several months led deputies to determine the homeowner was actively distributing methamphetamine in the community.

On April 30, deputies executed a search warrant at the residence and took the suspect into custody without incident.

The individual is facing multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, sale of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Brian S. Creech said the location of the home did not prevent investigators from identifying the activity.

“If you think living in a remote part of this county will keep you from our attention, you’re mistaken,” Creech said. “Our Narcotics and Street Crimes Unit will find you, and you will be held accountable.”

Officials said they will continue targeting illegal drug activity to protect the community.
