Starke Man Arrested After NCMEC Tip Links Social Media Account to Child Abuse Material

STARKE, FL — A 59-year-old Bradford County man was arrested Wednesday as part of a statewide law enforcement initiative targeting the digital exploitation of children. Gary Eugene Adams, of Starke, faces multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE).

Adams has been charged with five counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and one count of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device.

NCMEC Tip Leads to Identification

The investigation was triggered on April 23, 2026, when FDLE agents received a “Cybertip” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The tip alleged that a social media account was being used to upload and share multiple files depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Through digital tracing and investigative techniques, agents identified Adams as the owner and operator of the account in question.

Arrest and Evidence Seizure

On April 29, FDLE agents, with assistance from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office, located and arrested Adams. During the operation, authorities seized Adams’ cellphone, which will undergo an in-depth forensic examination by digital experts.

Adams was transported to the Bradford County Jail for booking. The Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution will lead the legal proceedings against him.

Ongoing Forensic Review

Authorities emphasized that the investigation is still active. While Adams currently faces six felony counts, officials noted that additional charges may be filed depending on the findings of the forensic analysis of his seized electronic devices.
