Driver Arrested, Charged in 2024 Crash That Killed Three Palm Beach Deputies

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2024 crash that killed three Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office motor deputies, officials announced.

Corrine Adrianna Blue was taken into custody following a felony arrest warrant issued by a judge in the 15th Judicial Circuit Court. She faces three counts of vehicular homicide under Florida law.

The charges stem from a November 21, 2024 crash that resulted in the deaths of Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Sheriff Ignacio “Dan” Diaz and Deputy Sheriff Ralph “Butch” Waller.

According to officials, a lengthy and complex investigation conducted by the Florida Highway Patrol determined that Blue’s actions led to the fatal crash.

“We are thankful for the decision of State Attorney Alexcia Cox and her office in seeking and obtaining this felony warrant for arrest,” said Executive Director Dave Kerner. “We now turn our attention to the judicial process, where a jury of the defendant’s peers will decide the ultimate outcome.”

Kerner also paid tribute to the fallen deputies, calling them heroes and acknowledging the lasting impact of their loss on their families, the sheriff’s office and the community.

State Attorney Alexcia Cox said the charges reflect a careful review of the evidence.

“These charges follow a thorough review of the evidence and mark an important step in the pursuit of justice for the families of Corporal Paez, Deputy Diaz and Deputy Waller,” Cox said. “These deputies were serving this community when their lives were tragically taken by a reckless driver.”

The case will now proceed through the court system.
