DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a person critically injured earlier this week in Daytona Beach, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.
Police announced that Key’shaun Martin Jr. was apprehended on May 15, 2026, in connection with the attempted homicide investigation.
The shooting occurred Wednesday, May 13, at approximately 12:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard.
According to investigators, officers responded after multiple 911 callers reported a person had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found one victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a hospital and remains in critical condition, police said.
Authorities said the suspect fled the area before officers arrived at the scene.
Investigators described the case as active and ongoing and said additional details are limited at this time.
