NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — A 19-year-old driver was arrested early Friday morning after a high-speed crash sent multiple people to the hospital with injuries, according to the Neptune Beach Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 12:47 a.m. on June 12, 2026, to the 1300 block of Florida Boulevard following reports of a vehicle crash involving injuries.
Investigators identified one of the drivers as 19-year-old Trenton Mallory.
According to police, Mallory was traveling at a high rate of speed when his vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle. The impact forced the victim’s vehicle off the roadway and into a heavy tree line.
The occupants of the struck vehicle became trapped and had to be extricated by personnel with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. The victims were transported to area hospitals with injuries.
While conducting the crash investigation, officers observed signs of possible impairment from Mallory, prompting a separate DUI investigation.
Following the investigation, Mallory was arrested and charged with:
- DUI Causing Property Damage or Personal Injury
- DUI Under the Influence of Alcohol
- Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage by a Person Under 21
- Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle
- Careless Driving
- Operating a Motor Vehicle With an Expired Registration
Authorities have not released the extent of the victims’ injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
