Jacksonville Man Sentenced to Life for Triple Murder After Pleading Guilty

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to murdering three people during a stabbing spree on the city’s Westside earlier this year.

State Attorney Melissa Nelson announced that 30-year-old Austin Fisher pleaded guilty to three counts of Second-Degree Murder and one count of Armed Robbery in connection with the May 28, 2026 killings.

As part of a negotiated plea agreement, Circuit Judge Tatiana Salvador sentenced Fisher to four life sentences in the Florida Department of Corrections without the possibility of parole. Fisher entered his guilty plea and was sentenced during his arraignment hearing on June 23.

According to investigators, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers were dispatched shortly before 4 a.m. on May 28 to a residence on Exodus Way following reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found one victim suffering from multiple stab wounds on the front porch of a neighboring residence. That victim was transported to a hospital but later died.

Investigators then discovered a second victim dead on the front porch of the residence where the attack occurred. During a subsequent welfare check inside the home, officers located a third victim deceased.

Authorities said all three victims had suffered multiple stab wounds.

During the investigation, detectives received information from several witnesses who reported that Fisher had confessed to the killings.

One of the witnesses was a rideshare driver who told investigators Fisher discussed the stabbings and the events surrounding the attack during a ride.

Another witness reported receiving a phone call from Fisher in which he admitted committing the murders and said he planned to surrender to authorities at his mother’s home.

Investigators also interviewed a woman who said Fisher arrived at her hotel room after the killings and admitted stabbing the victims before stealing money and drugs from them. Another person at the hotel provided a similar account and told detectives Fisher made incriminating statements about the crime.

Fisher was later located and arrested at the hotel.

According to prosecutors, Fisher waived his Miranda rights and confessed to stabbing all three victims during an interview with investigators.

The case was investigated by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Doug Baer.

With the guilty plea and life sentences imposed, the case has been resolved without the need for a trial.
