LAKE CITY, Fla. — A Lake City woman was arrested early Sunday after police say she threatened several people with a large knife during a disturbance at a residence.
According to the Lake City Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:38 a.m. on June 28 to the 700 block of Northeast Center Avenue after receiving reports of an armed disturbance.
The investigation determined that a verbal dispute escalated when 28-year-old Princess Annittia Itasha Brown allegedly armed herself with a large knife and threatened multiple individuals outside the residence.
Officers arrived and took Brown into custody without incident.
No injuries were reported.
Brown was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was transported to the Columbia County Detention Facility. Her bond was set at $8,000.
The Lake City Police Department reminded residents that disputes involving weapons can quickly become dangerous and encouraged anyone involved in escalating confrontations to leave the area and contact law enforcement.
