OCALA, FL — An 18-year-old Marion County man is facing multiple severe felony charges after state detectives linked him to the sexual abuse of two separate juvenile victims, including a pregnant 15-year-old and a child under the age of 12, law enforcement officials announced.
Jonathan Quandarius King (DOB: 09/07/2007) was arrested on Monday, August 3, 2026, by Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Major Crimes Detective Zachary Elliott. King remains in custody at the Marion County Jail.
First Investigation: Impregnation of 15-Year-Old Victim
The initial investigation began on June 29, 2026, when MCSO deputies received a report that a 15-year-old girl had become pregnant following sexual encounters with King.
The victim disclosed to detectives that numerous sexual assaults took place inside King’s vehicle, during which he offered her money, alcohol, or illicit drugs. During an interview with investigators, King admitted to knowing the victim was a minor, sexually battering her, and impregnating her.
King was initially taken into custody and charged with:
- Lewd or Lascivious Battery on a Victim Between 12 and 16 Years Old
- Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
Second Investigation & Jailhouse Confession
On August 3, 2026—the day of King’s initial arrest—deputies responded to a second, separate report of sexual assault involving a child under 12 years old.
The young victim disclosed that King had molested her on multiple occasions over and under her clothing. She further detailed that on the night before King’s arrest, he called her over to a bathroom in the residence, pulled her inside, trapped her from leaving, and sexually battered her.
Detectives Elliott and Paxton conducted a follow-up interview with King while he was held at the Marion County Jail. Although King initially denied the allegations, detectives stated that he broke down crying, asked for a hug, and confessed that he had lied to investigators.
Following the interview, King was returned to his cell and hit with five additional felony counts:
- 4 counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a Victim Under 12 Years Old
- 1 count of False Imprisonment of a Child to Commit Sexual Battery
Detectives Seek Additional Information: Due to the nature of the offenses and the fact that two juvenile victims have already come forward, investigators believe King may have victimized other children in the area.
Anyone with information regarding Jonathan Quandarius King is urged to contact Detective Zachary Elliott with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Division at (352) 671-3847.
