JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with the 2023 killings of two men on Kylan Drive, a double murder that Jacksonville police say stemmed from a $20,000 gang-related hit.
Jamaal Hameen, 31, was arrested Sept. 23 on two counts of second-degree murder and one count of accessory after the fact, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Hameen was already being held in the Duval County jail on unrelated charges when he was arrested in the homicide case.
The charges stem from the Oct. 6, 2023, shooting deaths of 19-year-old Antonio Tillie Jr. and 31-year-old Bryant Grund on Kylan Drive.
Investigators determined Tillie was the intended target of what JSO described as a $20,000 gang-related contract killing.
Grund, however, was not the intended target, according to investigators. JSO said Grund was working as an Uber driver when he was caught up in the shooting and killed.
Hameen is the fourth person charged in connection with the double murder.
Ju’Quan Mills, Diamond Harris and Jimmy Robinson were previously arrested and charged in the case, according to JSO. The agency did not provide additional details in its latest update about the specific roles investigators believe each defendant played in the killings.
Hameen’s arrest comes nearly three years after the shooting.
