By Leola Williams – The ‘7 a.m. Prayer Group,’ was glad to be back on American soil as we returned from a trip without incident to Israel. The current international conflict on the Gaza/Hamas strip has gripped the world. The 18 member group returned to to Duval County without conflict. The consortium had the opportunity to go on a pilgrimage with the organization ‘Go To Nations.’ The goal was to experience the wonders of Israel with a group tour to view the most significant where Jesus ministered.
“With an answer to our prayers, we returned home before the conflict and safely to our humble abodes. We are good to be back from this historic milestone trip,’ said traveler Chinesta Smith.
The team of 18 watched the biblical stories unfold daily with detailed coverage led by the their tour guide who explained the spiritual significance of each site. Not a moment was missed to point out scriptures what was taking place as the group followed along with their personal bibles. The teaching itinerary went beyond the standard itinerary for the best personal spiritual experience.
“Our faith will be enriched for years to come by watching the stories unfold as we walked the tumultuous paths through the land of the Bible,” said organize Leola Williams.
Throughout the 10-day pilgrimage, the traveler’s faith was empowered as they experienced the sites of the Nazareth village, Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Magdala, and Caesarea Philippi and took a jeep tour of the Golan. They also had a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and visited the Baptismal site of the Jordan River.
“Our skin will never feel the same after floating in the Dead Sea of salt at En Bokek. Memories were made in the City of David and prayers were made at the Western wall,” said organizer Leola Williams.
