Path to the Polls: Debate about High Court’s decision to hear case on whether Trump can be kept off primary ballots

The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to consider a Colorado ruling disqualifying former President Donald Trump from its 2024 Republican primary ballot has sparked quite the debate.

If you follow legal experts and their analysis, there are any number of ways the Justices could rule.

We’ll discuss whether Trump’s hand in shaping the nation’s highest court will come into play in any decision-making and whether Justice Clarence Thomas needs to recuse himself.

Among other topics, some legal analysts say the court may reverse the decision without weighing in directly on the former president’s conduct, virtually sidestepping the issue. We see how they might do that.

And whatever happens, they can’t afford to drag this out.
