Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Homicide Unit detectives have solved a 2023 murder with the arrest of 25-year-old Lawrence Bell.
On July 27, 2023, officers responded to a residence on Winthrop Street, where they found 23-year-old Christopher Griffin with multiple gunshot wounds. After a thorough investigation and collaboration with the State Attorney’s Office, Bell was identified as the suspect.
At the time of the warrant’s issuance, Bell was incarcerated in Georgia on unrelated charges. He was extradited to Jacksonville last week and is now in custody at the Duval County Jail, facing charges for Griffin’s murder.
