On Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 7:39 a.m., Orlando police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a vehicle crash at the intersection of Summerlin Avenue and Palmer Street. Upon arrival, officers found 56-year-old Terrance Dolan inside the vehicle with injuries that did not appear consistent with a motor vehicle accident. Dolan was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Following an investigation, authorities identified a suspect who had fled the area. On February 3, 2025, U.S. Marshals apprehended 25-year-old Herlin Petion in Dayton, Ohio. Petion is facing charges of Second Degree Murder with a Weapon.
