Orlando Police Arrest Suspect in Puerto Rico for Fatal Curry Ford Road Robbery

The Orlando Police Department (OPD) has apprehended a suspect in Puerto Rico in connection with the March 15, 2025 murder of Luis G. Vicente-Martinez.

On that date, around 2:48 a.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots near a parked van in the 5700 block of Curry Ford Road. They found Vicente-Martinez deceased inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound.

OPD detectives determined the incident was a robbery, and the suspect had fled to Puerto Rico. Today, April 11, 2025, Gabriel Joel Bruno De Leon was apprehended in Puerto Rico by the U.S. Marshal Service, Homeland Security, and the San Juan Extradition Unit.

Bruno De Leon has been charged with First Degree Murder with a Firearm, Robbery with a Firearm, and Grand Theft 2nd Degree. Police have stated that no other suspects are outstanding in this case.

The Orlando Police Department also announced that this arrest brings their homicide clearance rate to 100% for all homicide cases investigated by their agency in 2025.
