LAKE HELEN, Fla.—The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has arrested Daniel Greynolds, 35, of Lake Helen, on 50 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began on August 15 when the Lake Helen Police Department alerted FDLE agents to an individual storing digital files depicting child sexual abuse. Greynolds was identified as the individual in possession of these files.
On August 20, FDLE agents executed a search warrant and seized an electronic device. A forensic analysis revealed over 7,000 images and video files suspected of depicting child sexual abuse, some involving infants less than one year old.
Greynolds was arrested on September 4 and transported to the Orange County Jail, pending extradition to Volusia County. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest. The case is being prosecuted by Attorney General James Uthmeier’s Office of Statewide Prosecution. The investigation remains active.
