Man Fatally Shot in Car After Bar Altercation in Daytona Beach

Daytona Beach, Florida – Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Daytona Beach.

Around 1:09 a.m. on November 2, 2025, officers responded to the area of Goodall Avenue and South Grandview Avenue after reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Anthony Chrun unconscious in the front seat of his vehicle. Officers immediately began life-saving efforts, but Chrun was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

Investigators say the shooter was located and detained, though their name has not been released. According to preliminary findings, Chrun and the shooter were involved in an altercation earlier that night at a nearby bar.

Police have identified everyone involved and are working with the State Attorney’s Office as the investigation continues. The shooter was released pending further review.

Authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the case remains active and under investigation.
