JACKSONVILLE, FL – Four teenagers are facing felony charges after police say they ambushed a man during an armed robbery that ended in a shootout in Jacksonville’s Norwood area.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Jacksonville District 1 patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery with a shooting on Crestwood Street near Norwood Avenue. The victim told officers he was sitting inside his vehicle when four suspects approached him armed with guns and demanded he get out.
When the victim exited the vehicle, an exchange of gunfire occurred between him and the suspects. The victim shot and injured two of the teens, according to police.
Detectives with the Robbery and Violent Crimes Unit launched an investigation and identified the suspects as 16-year-old James Bowden, 16-year-old Adrian Durham, 15-year-old Lajhyisan Foremen, who was 14 at the time of the crime, and 15-year-old Uriah Scarver.
All four teens have been arrested and charged with Armed Robbery and Attempted Murder. Scarver remains hospitalized recovering from a gunshot wound and has been absentee booked. Police said a mugshot is not yet available.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
