Hillsborough County Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Child Sex Crimes

TAMPA, Florida – A 24-year-old man was sentenced to 50 years in prison followed by lifetime probation after pleading guilty to multiple child sex crime charges in Hillsborough County.

According to prosecutors, Christopher Jollimore pleaded guilty to six counts of attempted sexual battery involving a victim younger than 12, four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation involving a victim younger than 12, 53 counts of promotion of a sexual performance by a child, 100 counts of possession of child pornography, and 100 counts involving possession of images or videos depicting sexual activity with an animal.

Authorities said Jollimore will also be designated as a sexual predator.

Prosecutors said the sentence ensures Jollimore will spend much of his life incarcerated and under strict supervision following his release.

Officials said the resolution of the case spared the child victims from having to testify in court and relive the incidents during a trial.

During sentencing, family members of the victims addressed the court and described the lasting impact the crimes had on their families.

Assistant State Attorney Jessica Couvertier prosecuted the case.
