Jacksonville Pair Arrested After Three Hardware Store Thefts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise during three trips to a Jacksonville hardware store have been arrested, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Hazel Bilskey, 32, and Quentin Parker, 46, were identified by investigators following a Sept. 1 theft in which police said the pair placed a grill in a shopping cart and left the store without paying.

While officers were investigating that incident, a store employee told them the same suspects had been involved in two additional thefts at the business earlier that week.

JSO said merchandise taken during the three incidents was valued at more than $1,000.

Investigators subsequently identified Bilskey and Parker as suspects.

On Sept. 29, officers searching for Bilskey located her in the parking lot of an apartment complex and took her into custody.

Bilskey was charged with individually or in concert with others coordinating the commission of retail theft involving $750 or more.

Two days later, on Oct. 1, officers patrolling along Baymeadows Road spotted Parker and arrested him. He was charged with petit theft.

The arrests were highlighted by the Sheriff’s Office as part of its “Solved Sunday” series, which focuses on cases cleared through the work of patrol officers, detectives, crime analysts and information provided by the public.
