Franklin County Operation Targets Child Online Predators, Leads to 6 Arrests

During “Operation Summer Hurricane,” a multi-agency law enforcement effort in Franklin County, Florida, six men were arrested for crimes targeting children online. The three-day operation focused on individuals engaging in sexually explicit communication, transmitting child sexual abuse material, and arranging to meet minors for sexual activity.

Arrests and Charges

The six individuals arrested are Colbey G. Adams, 30; Jarvis Arteza Baker Jr., 22; William Jared Breski, 37; Jose De Jesus Salazar Gomez, 25; Joshua Heath Lolley, 36; and Christopher Edward Nabors, 32.

The suspects face a range of charges, including:

  • Solicitation of a minor
  • Unlawful use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony
  • Transmission of child sexual abuse material
  • Obscene communication with a minor
  • Promoting a sexual performance by a child
  • Attempted human trafficking of a minor
  • Traveling to meet a minor

Jose De Jesus Salazar Gomez is an illegal alien with an active immigration detainer, while William Jared Breski is a registered sexual offender. Jarvis Arteza Baker Jr. faces additional charges for fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, and excessive speeding.

Law Enforcement Response

According to Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, the operation successfully put “predators… behind bars and make our state the safest place in the nation to raise a family.” This was the first operation of its kind in Franklin County, and Sheriff A.J. “Tony” Smith commended the “dedication and teamwork” of all the agencies involved, which included:
