JSO Arrests Suspect in Deadly Shooting at Jacksonville Seafood Restaurant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 42-year-old man accused of fatally shooting another man outside a seafood restaurant over the weekend.

According to JSO, Mark Randall Gordon was taken into custody on Monday night, October 6, 2025, and booked into the Duval County Jail on a charge of second-degree murder (dangerous act evincing a depraved mind without premeditation).

The shooting happened on Saturday, October 4, around 9:30 p.m., when District 3 Patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire at a seafood restaurant on Philips Highway near Baymeadows Road. Officers did not locate a victim at the scene, but about an hour later, JSO was notified that 30-year-old Trevian Jackson had arrived at a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries.

JSO Homicide detectives, working alongside the Crime Scene Unit and the State Attorney’s Office, launched a full investigation. Based on evidence gathered at the scene and during follow-up interviews, detectives identified Gordon as the shooter.

Authorities located and arrested Gordon two days later.

“We’ll continue to work alongside our partners at the State Attorney’s Office to bring justice to Jackson’s loved ones,” JSO said in a statement.

Gordon remains in custody as the investigation continues.
