Palm Coast Teen Arrested for Exposing Himself to Elderly Women; Blamed Porn Videos for Idea

Palm Coast, FL – A 16-year-old Palm Coast boy has been arrested after allegedly exposing his genitals to multiple elderly women in three separate incidents while pretending to ask for directions, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Rene Alas Aleman, 16, faces three felony charges: two counts of lewd or lascivious exhibition in the presence of an elderly person (from the February incidents) and one additional count of the same offense tied to a January case.

The investigation began on January 30, 2026, when deputies responded to a reported sex offense in the R-Section of Palm Coast. An elderly woman walking on Rydell Lane told deputies a male in a white pickup truck stopped to ask for directions to a nearby park. While she gave directions, she observed the driver touching his exposed genitals. The victim described the suspect as having darker skin and curly hair but could not identify the vehicle’s make, model, or license plate.

On February 11, 2026, two similar incidents occurred in the P-Section. Both victims—one elderly—were walking on Piedmont Drive when a young Hispanic male driving a white Toyota Tundra pulled over to ask for directions to the nearest McDonald’s. In both cases, the driver unzipped his pants, exposed his genitals, and made suggestive remarks.

Deputies quickly located the described truck and conducted a traffic stop after observing multiple traffic violations. The driver was identified as Rene Alas Aleman. The two February victims positively identified him during a show-up procedure.

Deputies contacted Alas Aleman’s mother, who consented to an interview. During questioning, Alas Aleman admitted to the February incidents, claiming they were a “prank” he thought would be funny.

Major Case Unit detectives then interviewed him regarding the January incident. Alas Aleman confessed that he intentionally targeted women walking alone after seeing similar behavior in videos on a pornography website. Detectives determined he was also responsible for the January offense and arrested him on the third charge.

“This is extremely disturbing behavior and is a textbook example of how serious sex offenders start their perverted actions,” said Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly. “This is another reason that parents need to be the Sheriff in their home and know what their kids are doing and watching on the internet. I hope he gets the help he obviously needs before he escalates and lands in prison for life. I commend our deputies and detectives who found the vehicle, made the arrest, and got this pervert off the streets.”

Following booking at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility, Alas Aleman was transferred to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. He was later released to his parents pending further court proceedings.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office continues to urge parents to monitor their children’s online activity and report any suspicious or criminal behavior immediately. Anyone with information related to this case is asked to contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office at (386) 313-4911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477) for anonymous tips.
