NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. — A second suspect has been charged in connection with the theft of a moped reported earlier this month, according to the Neptune Beach Police Department.
Investigators said the theft occurred on June 9, 2026, when a suspect unlawfully stole a victim’s moped.
Through investigative efforts, detectives identified the individuals involved and previously arrested one suspect in the case.
On June 17, detectives with the Neptune Beach Police Department, along with patrol officers, traveled to the Duval County Jail to interview a second suspect who was already incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Following the interview and continued investigation, detectives filed additional charges against Markess Henry.
Henry was charged with Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle Valued at Less Than $100,000, a third-degree felony under Florida law.
Authorities have not released details regarding the first suspect or the circumstances surrounding the theft.
The Neptune Beach Police Department said it remains committed to investigating property crimes and holding offenders accountable.
The investigation remains ongoing.
