JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – More than 500 grams of illegal narcotics, four firearms and thousands of dollars in cash were seized during a search warrant at a Jacksonville home, leading to the arrest of two men, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began after detectives received information that a residence in the Ragsdale Drive area off Sunbeam Road was being used to distribute illegal drugs.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives with the Narcotics Unit launched an investigation and determined the residence was allegedly being used by known violent offenders to sell narcotics. Investigators later obtained a search warrant, which was executed on the night of July 1 with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team.
During the search, detectives seized:
- 18.3 grams of fentanyl
- 353.1 grams of methamphetamine
- 95.1 grams of powder cocaine
- 44.1 grams of crack cocaine
- 4.6 grams of MDMA
- 19.3 grams of marijuana
- Three handguns
- One rifle
- $7,522 in cash
Authorities arrested 46-year-old Cornelius Emil Bell and 39-year-old Ronald Walter Craven.
Bell is charged with trafficking in dangerous fentanyl, trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted Florida felon, knowingly owning or maintaining a structure or vehicle used for selling drugs, and possession or use of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $3.6 million.
Craven was charged with resisting an officer without violence. According to the sheriff’s office, he has been sentenced to serve time in the county jail and is expected to be released on Aug. 8, 2026.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the investigation originated from a tip provided by a community member and encouraged residents to continue reporting suspected drug activity by calling 904-630-0500.
