FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – The owner of a Fernandina Beach automotive shop has been arrested on warrants from another Florida county as Nassau County authorities work to reunite customers with nearly two dozen vehicles left at a property used by the business.
Michael Lawrence Jacobsen, 68, owner of All Pro Automotive, was arrested Monday, Aug. 31, on a Putnam County warrant charging him with three counts of failure to appear, according to the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office said nearly two dozen customer vehicles have been left at a lot used by All Pro Automotive for vehicle storage.
The business previously operated at 5174 First Coast Highway before moving to another location.
Nassau County deputies began receiving calls from customers who were unaware that the location had closed and could not determine where their vehicles had been taken, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Customers also reported that repeated calls to All Pro Automotive went unanswered.
NCSO is now working to identify the owners of the vehicles left at the property and provide customers with information about how to recover them.
Authorities have not said Jacobsen is facing criminal charges in Nassau County related to the vehicles. His Aug. 31 arrest was based on the outstanding Putnam County warrant.
