The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has announced the arrest of Vincent Allen Wiley, 38, of Jacksonville, on charges of fentanyl trafficking and related offenses. The arrest follows an investigation by the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force, which led to the seizure of more than four pounds of fentanyl, over one pound of cocaine, more than three pounds of PCP, $52,000 in cash, 38 firearms, a cocaine press, and a money counting machine from Wiley’s residence.
The investigation, conducted in partnership with FDLE, the St. John’s County Sheriff’s Office, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Palatka Police Department, the St. Augustine Beach Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and the Northeast Florida HIDTA initiative, identified Wiley as an active fentanyl trafficker in Northeast Florida. Agents executed multiple controlled drug purchase operations before making an arrest.
On January 29, FDLE agents, with assistance from the Florida Highway Patrol, conducted a traffic stop leading to Wiley’s arrest. A search warrant executed at his residence resulted in the seizure of the large quantities of drugs, firearms, and cash.
Wiley was booked into the Duval County Jail, where his bond is set at approximately $1.8 million. The case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, Fourth Judicial Circuit.
The investigation remains ongoing.
